Hello!
I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the step to begin therapy is brave, and you don’t have to walk this path alone. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), doctoral candidate, and instructor for MSW students. My work is grounded in compassion, honesty, and connection, with the goal of helping you feel safe, understood, and supported.
I’ve worked in a variety of settings—from autism behavioral coaching to foster care and outpatient therapy—which shaped my approach today. Together, we’ll build skills for mindfulness, emotional balance, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships.
Therapy with me is a space where you can show up fully as yourself. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, anger, or life changes, I will meet you where you are and walk beside you as we move toward your goals.
Specialties & Training
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy time with family, live music, good books, and movies. I strive to practice what I teach—making space for joy, balance, and connection in everyday life.
If you’re here, you’re probably tired of carrying sh*t on your own. Good news is you don’t have to anymore. I’m glad you’re here.Starting therapy is a brave step, and my goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and supported. I work with individuals (16+) and couples navigating depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, life transitions, and trauma. I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods and says, “Uh huh, tell me more.” I show up as authentic, compassionate, and direct. That means I’ll celebrate your strengths and wins and challenge you when I notice unhelpful patterns holding you back. Therapy with me is collaborative, you bring your story, and I bring tools from CBT, Trauma-Informed Care, Strengths-Based, Person-Centered approaches, and mindfulness practices. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, build coping and mindfulness skills, and move toward the version of yourself you want to step into. I believe growth often comes with discomfort, but that doesn’t mean you’ll go through it alone. Whether you’re learning to calm your anxiety, rebuild after trauma, strengthen relationships, or simply slow down and be more present in your daily life, I’ll walk beside you, offering support, honesty, and encouragement every step of the way. When I’m not in therapist mode, I’m soaking up time with my family, trying new recipes, or watching my favorite TV shows for the hundredth time. I can’t wait to see you!
Olive is a very special part of Healing Roots. Olive is trained to provide affection and comfort, and will only be present when the client agrees. Therapy dogs have been found to have calming effects on humans, activating the parasympathetic nervous system, resulting in lower blood pressure and heart rate. When discussing difficult emotions, clients report feeling comforted by the presence of a calm affectionate, furry companion. Ask how Olive can join you in session with Minuette!
